Cheers To Celebrate NASCAR’s ‘Bad Boy’ Kyle’s Misfortune

The cheers began the moment all the other cars had pulled off pit road, leaving the yellow No. 18 of Kyle Busch behind in its stall.
It’s a sound NASCAR’s resident bad boy hasn’t heard in a long time.
But even though the cheers were meant to celebrate his misfortune rather than another dominating victory, Busch didn’t mind. He kind of likes the way he looks with a black hat on.
“It’s kind of funny, really,” the 23-year-old driver said before his disappointing performance in Saturday’s Sprint All-Star Race. “Just because I’m not the most popular guy here, don’t hate on my talent. I guess they do. I don’t care. That’s why, to me, I just try to go out there and send them home unhappy.”
Busch had done that a lot lately by winning eight times on the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Craftsman Truck series this year. He also had the audacity to take out the most popular driver on the planet, Dale Earnhardt Jr., just when it seemed as though he would finally break through with a victory last month at Richmond.
That’s just the nature of the sport.
