Imperial Capital Bank Atlantic Challenge at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach - Round 2 of the Cooper tire Presents The Champ Car Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda.

Back At The Beach:

This weekends event marks the 24th Atlantic race on the streets of Long Beach. There have been 19 different race Atlantic race-winners at Long Beach and there will be 20th name added to that list on Sunday. This race carries the most tradition of any Atlantic event with more races run at this venue than any other on the current series calendar.

Three In A Row To Start The Show:

This weekends event marks the second of three consecutive races to start the year. Last week the series opened the 07 season with the Vegas Grand Prix, before traveling to Long Beach for this weekends racing, and then visiting the Grand Prix of Houston for Round 3, April 20-22.

Fantastic Full Field:

With 29 cars expected to start Sundays race, this weekends Atlantic field is the largest its been in nearly eight years. The last time that many cars started a series race was 1999 when 30 Atlantics crossed the starting line at both Montreal and Long Beach. Last seasons high for entries came at Long Beach when 28 cars took the green flag.
