Disappointed Practice For Sarah Fisher At Indianapolis Ron McQueeney

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Sarah Fisher Racing (SFR) suffered a disappointing day of practice as the crew couldn’t get the distribution of the car just right for Sarah Fisher to feel comfortable wheeling the car around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

“We started in our race setup today and we learned we need to go in a different direction from where we were headed,” said Fisher, who plans to qualify for her seventh Indianapolis 500 on Saturday, weather permitting.  “It’s good that we figured that out today and it looks like it’s going to be a good day tomorrow.  We’ll head in a different direction and make a better go at it tomorrow.”

Fisher turned just 38 laps, the second least of the 35 cars on track today trumped by only Roger Yasukawa who ran 36 laps.  Fisher complained that the car was not comfortable at all with the front and the rear failing to communicate with each other.  The team changed suspension prior to hitting the track today and will chance the suspension back to what they ran on Pole Day, which Fisher felt very comfortable with.  Ryan Briscoe topped the speed charts with a time of 223.708 miles per hour while Marco Andretti was the busiest driver on the track clocking 101 laps.
