Fujitsu Racing Hopes To Get Into Winner's Circle At Mount Panorama Bam Media

The Fujitsu Racing Team of Jason Bright and Adam Macrow will take on Australia’s biggest motor race full of confidence with their sights set on victory.

A number of upgrades have been made to the Fujitsu Ford over the past two months. With some other tricks up their sleeve for the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, the 1998 Bathurst winner has every right to feel that he can again challenge for victory at Mount Panorama.

“Everything has started to come together for Bathurst,” said Bright.

“On the technical side we have made improvements to the engine, transmission and suspension. Across the board that has provided significant gains.

“Last year we nearly pulled off a win at Bathurst. This year we have improved as a group and that has me even more confident going to Mount Panorama.

“I’m very pleased with Adam’s committed to the program and his driving at Phillip Island was very strong. I know that he is a proven performer at Bathurst and I’m confident he will do an even better job for us in 2008.

“For me it has been 10 years since I won the race. Waiting for the opportunity to again challenge has made me very hungry to win and we will give it everything.”

Macrow, who finished third at Bathurst in 2005, has tested with the team throughout the year, but it was the time in the car at the recent Phillip Island 500 that has him feeling confident going to Bathurst.

“I’m ready for Bathurst,” said Macrow.

“Getting race kilometres in the car is clearly important for me as a driver. More important is that the team has really improved the car and I’m sure will be on the pace over 1000-kilomtres of racing.

“Jason does a fantastic job in setting the car up. I have not had to change too much in my driving style to make the most out of the Fujitsu Falcon. Having confidence in the car is all-important to being on the pace at Bathurst

“My entire year has been all about the long distance V8 races. I have not been distracted by anything else. I know that my driving has not suffered and my hunger to have success at Bathurst is as strong as ever.”

As always, I was pleased to have the opportunity to help educate them!  ZOOM . . . ZOOM
