The Belgian Grand Prix may have seen Heikki score another point, but the feeling was once again of a missed opportunity for the French team. Giancarlo endured a short but frustrating afternoon: starting from the pit-lane after a post-qualifying unscheduled engine change, he retired on lap one. As for Heikki, he may have extended his points-scoring streak to six races, but his one-stop strategy forced him to display all his repertoire of defensive skills, as he resisted cars running what turned out to be a faster two-stop option. Although the pickings were slim in Belgium, the team remains optimistic for the final three races. The car is improving, and its basic speed was good in Belgium. The team will be looking to consolidate its third place in the constructors’ championship, and the R27 should allow the drivers to race aggressively at the flyaway rounds. They will be aiming to seize every opportunity!

The test team is running in Jerez, Spain this week for a critical three-day test before the final three rounds of the 2007 season. Nelsinho Piquet ran all three days for the first time this year, completing a busy programme before a seven-week testing break.
