The ARS enjoyed an event filled with green-flag racing which meant the teams would have to make their lone pit stop under racing conditions. Feese stretched his mark leading lap 60 before making his way onto pit road.
While leading coming into the pits, the team had some problems on the left-rear tire which held up the time of the pit stop, but Feese vowed to overcome the misfortune.
Two cautions stalled the race late in the game helping Feese set up for a phenomenal finish.
Feese’s car remained strong in the second half of the event thundering back from his pit stop to be a contender for the win. Unfortunately, Feese came up a little short and had to settle for third in his Kansas Speedway debut behind winner Scott Lagasse and Erik Darnell.
“We had a great day,” said Feese who made his seventh ARCA start on Friday night. Our car was fast right off the hauler. My crew did a fantastic job all weekend. I had a lot of fun; it’s nice to back driving for a team that believes in me. If the event was a little longer, I know that we would have been able to have something for the two guys ahead, but all in all I can’t complain about our day. We were good; we’re just going to have to be a little better in our next race.”
