By Travis Barrett
Nov 30, 2007
Christopher Gould gave up a career racing motorcycles because he thought it was too dangerous, turning to the straight-line drag racing world. Last Sunday afternoon at the Moroso Motorsports Park in Jupiter, Fla., Gould was killed when his jet-powered Funny Car crashed after making an exhibition run at the track’s Citrus Nationals.
Gould, 52, of Bowdoin was in his fourth year driving Funny Cars as an invited driver on the exhibition tour.
