Tracy sets sights on CORR event
Sep 27, 2007
Longtime open-wheel race driver Paul Tracy will take a break from the asphalt to try his luck in the dirt this weekend in Chula Vista. Tracy, the 2003 Champ Car World Series champion and a 17-year veteran, is scheduled to compete in his first off-road race when Championship Off Road Racing hosts another two-day event at the Quarry at Chula Vista International Raceway.
For his first CORR race, Tracy will compete in the Pro 2 division against the likes of Ricky Johnson, Rob MacCachren and Carl Renezder. Johnson is a former motocross and supercross champion who has continued his winning ways on four wheels in the Pro 2 division, MacCachren is a Pro 4 CORR champion, and Renezeder has 52 wins and three titles under his belt.
