What’s the future for Jaguar
Jun 29, 2007
FOR a company which has been on life support more than once through its 85-year existence, Jaguar refuses to be unplugged from the world of cars.
JAGUAR’S attempts to sell a car to the masses, the X-type, right, failed to attract almost anyone who wasn’t already a Jaguar driver. The firm now sees the high end XK type of car, below, as the way ahead.
It is hanging on grimly amid on-again, off-again suggestions its parent company, Ford, like it did earlier this year with Aston Martin, wants to sell.
As a brand it still has an enormous amount of cache.
Through all the turmoil Jaguar has been a survivor.
