“I had a good dice with Crompton and Morris at the start of the race, ” Brad said.
“Crompton was leading down Conrod on the last lap, but I managed to slip stream past him and take the win. ”
James Ward finished third after almost throwing his race away in a last lap effort to overtake his brother for the lead around the outside at The Chase.
“I just went in too deep and ran off the road, ” James said.
“I managed to keep it together on the dirt and rejoined the circuit in third place.
“I got some good points and it was important that I closed the points gap to Paul Kemal who finished a couple of places behind me. ”
Steve MacGregor returned to the top of the Masters Cup taking out Race 2 after finishing 13th overall. He diced with Peter Carr and Colin Sieders throughout the race that provided plenty of action for the current Masters Cup points leader.
“It was awesome racing across the whole field, I was looking in my mirrors and there was action both in front and behind me as well, ” MacGregor said.
“I am pretty fortunate to come out on top as Shane Wolki was flying but he had some issues, overall I am stoked with the win and hope I can continue this form in the next race. ”
Mark Tarrant finished 18th overall and second in the Masters Cup while Ryan Flynn was third, right behind him on the track.
The final race commences at 3:55pm which should provide plenty of action as the drivers battle for mountain glory.
