In a performance worthy of celebrating his 25th Anniversary as Grave Digger, Dennis Anderson brought the crowd to its feet with a spectacular crash after winning the Night 2 Racing program against Mopar Magic. Anderson hit the last set of cars at full song launching Grave Digger some 30 feet in the air, when the Digger returned back to earth it bounced on its side, taking out a light post and then flipping three times down into turn 1. Anderson appeared from the truck, after a few minutes, unhurt to a huge ovation.
Anderson began the evening by setting a new track record in qualifying with a pass of 5.87 seconds, besting a lap of 6.06 seconds set by Anderson in Night 1 of Monster Slam presented by Thurston Spring Service Inc, and Truckin Thunder.
In the Night 2 Freestyle program Mopar Magic with Gary Wiggins posted a 28, beating Superman with Chad Fortune, who closed the show with a 27, by one point for the Monster Slam Freestyle win.
Night 1 of Monster Slam saw Dennis Anderson drive Grave Digger to wins in both the Racing and Freestyle programs. In the racing program Anderson in Grave Digger beat Monster Mutt with Alex Blackwell.
