Team VIP Petfoods driver Paul Kemal showed great determination at Bathurst s Mount Panorama circuit to hold his lead in the Aussie Racing Car Championship Series.
During the final two seven-lap feature events, as part of the WPS Bathurst International Motor Festival, Kemal showed typical fighting spirit to be edged just out of the podium equation.
The reigning Aussie Racing Car title holder and current series leader started from the front row in race two alongside pole-sitter and regular V8 Supercar driver Paul Morris.
Despite taking the early lead then jostling for position with Morris and Neil Crompton Kemal struck a little trouble mid-way through the race.
“The car definitely had the pace and was looking good, unfortunately coming down Caltex straight under brakes I got caught up in some dust and ran wide into the sand, ” said Kemal.
