Rossi May Race In A1GP Next Year MotoGP

Team Italy are discussing with Valentino Rossi the prospect of the MotoGP World Champion racing for them in the upcoming A1GP season.

The 29-year-old, who currently leads the MotoGP World Championship, tested extensively for the Ferrari team prior to the 2006 Formula One season.

But, amid speculation that he might switch from two wheels to four, Rossi, who has also competed in the World Rally Championship, instead committed himself to MotoGP long term.

Rossi, who has four MotoGP world titles to his name, recently confirmed that he will race for Yamaha in both the 2009 and 2010 MotoGP seasons.
