NASCAR: Mike Skinner Leeds Final Practice Session Of The Craftsman Truck Series At Nashville Superspeedway


Mike Skinner led the final practice session for the Craftsman Truck Series at Nashville Superspeedway, turning a lap of 160.468 mph in preparation for Saturday¹s Toyota Tundra 200.

Skinner, in a Bill Davis Racing Toyota, was more than three-tenths of a second faster than the field in the final practice. Rookie Joey Clanton, driving for Wood Brothers/JTG Racing, was second at 158.827 mph. Terry Cook (HT Motorsports) was third, with Josh Wise (Darrell Waltrip Motorsports) fourth and Danny O¹Quinn (Roush Fenway Racing) fifth.

Rick Crawford (Circle Bar Racing), Jack Sprague (Wyler Racing), Travis Kvapil (Roush Fenway), David Starr (Circle Bar) and Matt Crafton (ThorSport Racing) rounded out the top 10.

Bill Davis Racing’s Mike Skinner paced the opening Craftsman Truck Series practice at Nashville Superspeedway Friday afternoon.

Skinner led the field with a lap of 157.070 mph. Germain Racing’s Todd Bodine followed with a lap of 157.008. Bobby Hamilton Racing’s Mike Bliss, Kevin Harvick Inc.’s Ron Hornaday Jr. and BDR’s Johnny Benson rounded out the top five in the session. Scene Daily
