The most enchanting race of the year is upon us. On Sunday 27 May Prema will take to the streets of Monaco where the World Series by Renault will contest a single race at the principality, the same weekend as the Monaco Grand Prix.
The race will take place Sunday morning, only a few hours before the start of the Grand Prix. Prema’s going to Monte-carlo full of hope and good aspirations. Last year Prema took an unforgettable pole position by there ex-driver Christian Montanari. After the good results claimed by Ben Hanley at Nurburgring, Prema is hoping to repeat its role as one of the big players, not only on the streets of Monaco but also in their pursuit of the Championship.
In the last few days Prema have been preparing rigorously with Ben Hanley and Xavier Maassen carrying out a shake down test on the tight and twisty Magione Circuit.
Angelo Rosin - Team Principal:
“Monte-Carlo is always a thrilling circuit, as it’s one of the only tracks of its kind. The main factors, are the closeness of the public and the way you can see drivers always on the limit on the difficult track, from which the most talented emerge. Like at Nurburgring, we are coming to a circuit where we have a good track record. In Germania in 2006 we took our first victory and at Monaco a splendid Pole. Our belief is now even greater after Hanley’s podium place on the 5th of May. For Xavier Maassen who is making his debut on the street’s, it wont be easy. His progress made recently, leaves us in good hope for a good race. ”
