I have to say many thanks to the Williams team and also Toyota as well, as they were supporting me all the time on their driver programme.
I am really looking forward to next season and am really excited.
Yes, it is quite a strong feeling to be here as a race driver in F1. I was watching F1 races for a long time and obviously at my father’s races.
When I was smaller it was really just like a dream, but now it is a reality.
So it is quite special, but still a bit strange as well. ITV-F1.com
Nakajima, the son of former Grand Prix driver Satoru, has been promoted from his role as official test driver.
“He has pace and the right aptitude to develop into a competitive Formula 1 racer and over the course of the next season, we will provide him with all the necessary support and assistance to hone his talents, “ Frank Williams said.
With Rosberg, also only 22, Williams will have two of the youngest drivers in Formula One. The team’s last constructors’ title was in 1997 when Jacques Villeneuve also won won the drivers’ championship.
Rosberg, the son of Finland’s 1982 world champion Keke, holds dual German-Finnish citizenship. He finished ninth in the 2007 drivers’ championship. BangkokPost.com
