Bounced out of his seat with Toro Rosso in Formula 1 at the end of July, Scott Speed will attempt to resume his career back home in the USA. Speed, who was pushed out after a run-in with team management at the European Grand Prix last month, will begin his comeback effort this weekend at Michigan, where he and agent Glen Hinshaw will meet with several NASCAR teams. Red Bull’s junior team dropped Speed prior the Hungarian GP after an altercation with Toro Rosso boss Franz Tost. Poor results throughout his stay at Toro Rosso also didn’t help his cause.
However, the American isn’t too fazed by his axing as already he’s had talks with Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz about the possibility of racing for Red Bull in one of the American motor racing series. FoxSports
