Competing in his debut season in touring cars, the 24 year old, from Portadown in Northern Ireland was impressed by the quality of the series and the passion of the DTM fans.
“The series is so professional. The only thing which comes close is Formula One. And I was quite shocked by the support I had from the fans. They all knew my racing history, what I had done before and they were happy I had come to race in DTM, it was quite overwhelming. Now I would just like to give them and my team something to cheer about! “
Qualifying takes place on Saturday with the race on Sunday (2pm across Europe, 1pm BST).
