Ian Baas is pleased to announce that APR of Auburn, Ala., has joined Ian Baas Racing as a marketing partner.
APR is a leading automotive high-performance aftermarket engineering firm. It develops proprietary systems and software to control all aspects of vehicle tuning and drivability. It specializes in Audi, Porsche and VW vehicles.
APR’s association with Baas came to fruition because Baas’ talents behind the wheel did not go unnoticed by the company’s management. Although Baas is only 24, the Noblesville, Ind. -based driver has already had great success in some of the most important endurance sports car races in the world. Last year he won the GT class at the prestigious Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in a Porsche, and finished second at both the Watkins Glen Six-Hour race (GT) and the Petit Le Mans (GT2). He also spent most of 2006 racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and Porsche Michelin Super Cup, where he secured the highest-ever finishing position by an American at the U. S. Grand Prix in his hometown of Indianapolis.
