The arrival of an FIA GT3 specification Aston Martin DBRS9 in Australia for Victorian driver John Kaias is imminent with the car having left the UK at the weekend. The car is entered for its first competition outing at Round 4 of the 2007 Australian GT Championship at Queensland Raceway scheduled for May 26-27.

Kaias, who has had considerable experience in both the GT Championship and Carrera Cup, will be launching his newly acquired Aston Martin into an exotic GT field including the two new Lamborghini Gallardo’s of Bryce Washington and Ian Palmer together with several Ferrari models and extremely quick Porsches. Kaias, previously a Porsche campaigner will be the first competitor to race an Aston Martin in the Australian GT Championship and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the British GT Championship winning machine.
