The FIAGT will be back in a true speed temple this weekend at Monza. Vitaphone Maserati will count on Christian Montanari’s experience to make a good impression before traveling to Germany, for the team’s home race at Oschersleben, while the FIAGT will be back in Italy the next 8th of September at Adria.
The driver from San Marino is looking with an increased confidence at this weekend’s round, after scoring a convincing podium in the Romanian mayhem at Bucharest. Christian will continue to share his Maserati MC 12 with Miguel Ramos, trying to score other valuable points and, of course, improve his current standings position.
“Racing here at Monza with a Maserati gives you a very particular feeling, there’s so much history in it… and, of course, I like the track, where I won a Formula 3 race 2003. The 6th place in standings seems like a good result to me, especially if we consider that I’ve not made a full test yet. I have to adapt myself to the car on race weekend but – after the podium finish achieved at Bucharest – I’m quite confident. The only dark side will be how the car will react to the 20 Kilos added by the bureau, but I definitely hope to score points”
