The first race for Super Taikyu commenced on 21-22 April in Sendai Hi-Land Raceway.
We qualified very well, with Fariqe doing 1.51.233 and Masataka 1.51.364 and with a combined time 3.43.497 and 4th overall.
Fariqe learnt the circuit very quickly and even managed to out qualify his team mate.
There was heavy rain before the start of race. Just as the race started, the rain decreased but heavy Fog appeared and visibility was very poor. So race started under the safety car for over 12 laps. When the rain intensified, the fog decreased and the race finally started only to be interrupted again and again by the Safety car when the weather condition changed from bad to worse. We did our 1st Pit Stop on Lap 50 with Fariqe taking over from Masataka. The race was finally officially stopped on Lap 74 by the race organizers just after we did our 2nd mandatory pit stop.
All 3 Michelin Team suffered as the rain tires were not suitable for these race conditions. The Race was dominated and won by Mitsubishi Evos and Subarus with Yokohama Tyres.
