Nicolas Hamilton, younger brother of former F1 World Champion Lewis, is gearing up for his race debut at Brands Hatch on 2/3 April after signing up for the 2011 Renault Clio Cup.
19-year-old Hamilton, who has cerebral palsy, gained his National B racing licence earlier this year before signing with Total Control Racing for his maiden competitive campaign.
“I have loved motorsport from a young age and watching my brother achieve so much has given me inspiration to make my own racing debut,” Hamilton said.
“I know this will not be an easy task, but I hope my doing this will give inspiration to others who have challenges in their life.”
Hamilton will make his Clio Cup debut at Brands Hatch in less than a month’s time, as the series supports the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
