Long Beach SPEED GT Results Revised, McCann Disqualified

SCCA Pro Racing announced today a revision to the provisional results from Sunday’s SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship Race, with fifth place finisher Michael McCann disqualified after unapproved components were found in the transmission of his Dodge Viper.

An investigation this week verified that the components found in the transmission during post-race technical inspection were not eligible for competition. McCann lost all event points and purse after the disqualification, and all cars moved up in the finishing order.

McCann Racing has until Friday, April 27 to file an appeal.

Revised provisional results from Sunday’s 28-lap, 55.104-mile SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship Round Two race, part of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach with finishing position, starting position in parentheses, driver, hometown, car, laps, distance behind winner and reason out (if any). Results will remain provisional through the appeal period which ends April 27.
