The Texas Pro Sedans will resume their 2007 race schedule and hold the second event of their 32nd racing season at the Kyle, Texas 3/8 mile asphalt oval. The event will be the first of seven TPS series races hosted by Thunder Hill Raceway during the 2007 TPS racing season.
The Texas Pro Sedans racing format will consist of two 8 lap Qualifying Heat Races followed by a 20 Lap Feature Race for the four cylinder TPS series stock cars on Saturday night, April 28th. Many of drivers and cars who were in the first TPS race, held at San Antonio Speedway, will compete in the race at THR. A field of 24 drivers have filed their entry. The winner of the first race six time TPS Champion Bill LaBarge of Bryan has filed entry in his #27 BMW “Beamer”.
He won the TPS Championship in 1992, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2003 and 2004. No other driver has dominated the TPS series championship as has Bill LaBarge. He also won the first 2007 TPS season at San Antonio Speedway,
The entry list includes several other notable TPS drivers:
Sergio Hexsel of Live Oak will again drive his familiar, yellow #20 VW Rabbit with a larger engine. He was the 2005 TPS Champion. During the 2006 season he won three TPS feature races and placed second in championship point standings last year. His last win was at THR.
