Natrad Racing s Bryce Washington has taken the first steps towards regaining the Australian GT Championship he lost last season after taking a stunning round win at Mount Panorama in Bathurst today.
In doing so he lived up to his post race predictions following the cars recent debut, Washington suggesting after the Clipsal 500 that his new 500hp Italian Supercar would win races once the team had a chance to develop the car.
Washington stormed to pole position and two commanding race wins in the third round of the championship this weekend, held as part of the second-year Bathurst International Motor Festival.
It was the first success for the Gallardo GT3 in Australia following the cars promising debut at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide – Washington s home event – in March this year.
