SCCA Pro Racing announced today a revision in the SCCA SPEED World Challenge Touring Car point standings following Sunday’s Round Five race at Watkins Glen International.

Following the decision of a protest filed by RealTime Racing, Jeff Altenburg, driver of the No. 72 Mazda 6, was fined 10 Drivers’ Championship points and one Manufacturers’ Championship point for the lap-12 incident with Pierre Kleinubing’s No. 1 Acura TSX.

Altenburg has expressed intent to appeal the decision. Results will remain provisional until the appeal has been heard.
