Next month at the Tokyo Motor Show, Honda is planning to showcase a range of green-themed vehicles in what they are calling a ‘HELLO! Zone’. Likely taking the spotlight will be the EV-N, a super cute electric car concept that deserves chunky type and lots of exclamation points surrounding it. The concept has solar cells built into the roof, an illuminated communication system in the front black fascia, and a UX-3 Uni-scooter in the door. The simple interior features seat pads that can be swapped with different fabric styles. PSFK
It’s probably got a pretty short range though, designed to be used for short commutes in cities like Tokyo.
After you reach your destination and park but you’re feeling a little lazy, you can take out one of the U3-X Segway-like unicycles which is smartly strapped to the passenger door. At first I thought it was some really big and hardcore speaker system or something.

The EV-N Concept is part of a larger display called the “HELLO!” (Honda Electric mobility Loop) display, where Honda will be showcasing a total “ecosystem” of mobility products. You have products that supply electricity, vehicles that run on electricity and products with innovative electronic technologies. ASEAN Automotive News
Designers usually like to give a cube-like shape to an electric vehicle to accentuate it doesn’t have a gas engine and doesn’t need to look like a typical car.
But Honda purposely gave EV-N a front that looks like it can fit an engine, although all that’s there beneath the hood is a trunk.
“We wanted to create a lovable and fun design,” said Honda official Yoshiro Tanaka.
Honda is also showing another hybrid at the show - the futuristic-looking six-seater Skydeck, which is still a concept model with no immediate plans for a commercial release. The Canadian Press
