Telemark Resort & Convention Center will host two WPSA PowerSports ATV Tour Wisconsin Regional events during the 2007-2008 season. The events will be held Dec. 22-23, 2007 and Jan. 19-20, 2008. The Resort, located in Cable, Wisconsin, will build on several snowmobiling events its held during the past several years.
“Telemark has a long history of hosting successful snowmobiling events, and offers the perfect mix of amenities and location to make it an ideal stop for our Wisconsin Regional Tour, “ said PowerSports Entertainment, Inc. Executive Vice President Kent Lungstrom. “We’re looking forward to two exciting weekends of racing. “
“We’re very happy to work with WPSA to secure Snocross racing at Telemark Resort, “ said Darrell Buchmann, general manager, Telemark Resort & Convention Center. “Telemark has hosted Snocross and Hillcross racing for five years, and we always look forward to these events. The riders, their crews and families have enjoyed the tracks we’ve made, as well as the convenience of having lodging, food and amenities at Telemark. We are committed to providing services necessary to ensure successful races, and pleased to add more quality sporting events that will also attract more visitors to the area. “
“This is an exciting adventure for Telemark, the Cable area, and the sport, “ said Laura Alten, vice president of sales for Telemark Resort & Convention Center. “We’ve had races here before, but this is the first year we’re working directly with WPSA. Following this organization through the years, I have always been impressed by its growth, its professionalism, and its care for the riders. It’s a privilege and a pleasure to have another world-class sporting event in this area. We’ll do our best to provide a first-class track and offer services that will reflect positively on Telemark, WPSA and Cable, Wisconsin. “
