Chad Wienen and Adam Vaughn ushered in the 2007 WPSA PowerSports ATV Tour season Sunday by taking the No. 1 qualifying spots in their respective divisions during the ITP Tires Southern Open Championship at Silver Dollar Raceway.
Wienen (No. 44 Team Rockstar, MSR, Pro Taper, Yoshimura/Suzuki), who joined Suzuki’s factory ATV team this season, finished second in his first heat, and won his second heat to net to top spot in the SuperQuad Pro 450 field. Wienen’s teammate Dustin Wimmer (No. 191 MSR, Pro Taper, Yoshimura/Suzuki) qualified second, followed by John Natalie, Jr. (No. 13 ELKA, Maxxis/Honda).
