Bowyer’s Crew Takes Tissot Pit Road Precision Award in Phoenix |
Both CSK teams remained in Phoenix on Monday, making test laps and working on new combinations. Del Worsham spelled out the goals and accomplishments of the extra day. “One of the biggest on-going problems we have is that our motors haven’t been lasting to the finish line. It’s hard to make the show when you’re only running 1,000-feet and then blowing up. Right now, I feel like our clutch program and our blower program are definitely going in the right direction, so we’re concentrating on fixing the parts attrition problem. The laps we made on Monday were very valuable in that regard, and we’re hard at work sifting through that data to find the solutions. We’ve spotted a few things already, and we’re going to keep working through this until we’re back where we belong, in the Winner’s Circle. “
