Kalitta Motorsports, a professional drag racing team based in Ypsilanti, Mich., is pleased to announce that DHL will be a new sponsor of the Scott Kalitta-driven Nitro Funny Car currently competing in the 23-event, 2007 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. The yellow and red decorated 8,000-horsepower DHL Toyota Solara Funny Car will make its debut at the upcoming SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas on April 12th through the 15th, 2007.

Conrad “Connie” Kalitta, team owner, drag racing legend and Scott s father, is the owner and founder of Kalitta Air, a worldwide air freight company based in Ypsilanti.

Kalitta Air, a strategic partner with the United States Postal Service and the Department of Defense, provides end-to-end network solutions for all mail to the Middle East and Persian Gulf for civilian and military personnel.

Kalitta Air, in cooperation with DHL, provides mail transportation, security and all terminal handling services to DHL s Bahrain hub, as well as other Defense Department locations throughout Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait.
