“I think it’s kind of a change of pace, and it’s kind of a challenge to me. You know, those young guys [like Keselowski], they’re eager. I think we’ll complement each other well. I’ve watched Brad the last couple of years, and I look forward to working with him.”
This is a pairing that begs comparison. Keselowski is in Hendrick equipment, having his car prepared and getting his instructions from those who have taken the fall for Earnhardt’s troubles this season.

Eury leveled his sharpest comments at the media. He said undue criticism and attention has put Earnhardt in a spiral. He’s currently 21st in the Sprint Cup standings.
“A lot of people put him on a pedestal that he doesn’t need to be on,” Eury said. “They put a lot of pressure on him to be somebody he’s not going to be.

“Dale Jr. is a great race-car driver. But he has so much pressure on him, he doesn’t enjoy it right now.”
Meanwhile, Earnhardt, in Indianapolis to promote the July 26 Allstate 400, said he would like to run in the Indy 500 but wouldn’t try to race in both it and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day. Chicago Tribune
