NASCAR Truck Series Race at Homestead - Q & A With Race Runner-Up Matt Crafton |
Ironic, isn’t it, that one race after becoming just the sixth NHRA driver in history to record 400 round wins, Jim Yates isn’t able to fully appreciate his accomplishment?
The reason?
Yates isn’t sure how many more races he has to add to that impressive total.
“We are trying to find funding to stay out here (on the POWERade Series tour) for the rest of the year, ” said the veteran Pro Stock driver from Occoquan, Va. “Reaching a milestone like that says we’ve had a long career and have been successful. We’d certainly like to have the opportunity to try to add another 400 round wins. ”
