Justin Humphreys’ RaceRedi Motorsports/Knoll-Gas Energy Pontiac GTO went straight down the O’Reilly Raceway Park quarter-mile Saturday afternoon and right into the top 16 qualifiers for Monday’s Mac Tools U. S. Nationals.

“We were very happy with the run (6.696 seconds at 206.62 mph) and to be 13th at this point, ” said Humphreys, who is in his first season of NHRA Pro Stock racing. “The car went right down the track. We left something out there but we should be OK during Sunday’s qualifying because we’ll be in the good (left) lane in the morning (11 a. m.) session. “
