Lewis Hamilton Says He's "blown away" by Nicole Scherzinger's "talent and beauty" |
Kenny Koretsky started his 2007 NHRA POWERade Series season a mere 11-thousandths of a second Sunday and it cost him an opening-round win in the rain-delayed Carquest Winternationals.
“I didn’t want him to beat me on a hole-shot, †said the veteran Pro Stock driver of Greg Hill’s Indicom Electric/Nitro Fish Chevy Cobalt. Koretsky fouled out and Rodger Brodgon – making his first Pro Stock start – took the win in 7.353 seconds at 141.74 mph. Koretsky’s non-counting time was 6.716 seconds.
“We had a fast race car and I feel bad for the crew, †added Koretsky. “Part of my problem was NHRA officials kept us in our cars for 55 minutes before the round while we waited for it to stop sprinkling. I went over to Roger at the finish line and said, ‘welcome to Pro Stock. ’
“I think we had a good weekend in our Chevy Cobalt. The way we look at it, this is the beginning of NHRA’s new Chase for the Championship and we need to be in the top eight after 17 races.
We qualified fifth and now we’re looking forward to Phoenix (the next stop, Feb. 23-25). â€
