NHRA: ROCKSTAR, AutoZone Become Partners On Jerry Toliver’s Toyota Funny Car JerryToliver

ROCKSTAR Energy Drink, primary sponsor of Jerry Toliver’s Toyota Solara Funny Car, and AutoZone, the nation’s largest retailer and distributor of auto parts, are proud to announce a partnership that returns AutoZone to NHRA drag racing.

Toliver, a veteran Funny Car driver from Temecula, Calif., said, “The entire ROCKSTAR team and I are very excited to have AutoZone as our new partner. I’ m calling out to all the NHRA fans to Get in the Zone and shop at AutoZone for all their automotive needs. ”

The new-look to Toliver’s Solara will be unveiled Friday afternoon at Memphis Motorsports Park prior to the beginning of the NHRA Mid-South Nationals.

The sun-powered car, which so far resembles a skeletal cross between a dune buggy and a motorcycle, will carry one of its high school-age builders and designers through two states beginning in Round Rock, Texas, and on to Golden, Colo., where the national Winston Solar Car Race will end.
