“It all comes down to this and I feel that we have an advantage with this race being my home track. I want nothing more than to win at Las Vegas, but this weekend I want to win twice. This would be bigger than winning Indy. I want to take home the big pay day for David (Powers), Rob (Flynn) and our entire CAT team in the Technician Shootout and the race. I still feel like we’re the underdogs because we’re not one of the well-funded teams like the group we’re competing against. We like the pressure and we do best with the pressure on us. I expect this CAT team to have a good, solid race. ”

Three weeks ago at Richmond, Va., Fuller qualified seventh with a run of 4.591 seconds at 321.50 mph. He fell in the opening round to Doug Foley. It was just his fifth opening-round defeat of the season.

Fuller enters the Countdown to 1 ranked second in the Top Fuel division. He trails Larry Dixon by 10 points in the standings. Fuller had led the points chase following 14 of 21 races this season and would hold a 97-point margin over Dixon under the previous NHRA point system.

Last fall, Fuller qualified 10th at the ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals with a run of 4.571 seconds at 327.66 mph. He advanced to the semifinals before falling to 2006 NHRA Rookie of the Year J. R. Todd when a burst panel failed on his Valvoline dragster.

Fuller posted a runner-up finish in the Technician Shootout bonus event at The Strip at LVMS last October. He defeated David Grubnic and Tony Schumacher before losing a close match with Doug Kalitta in the final round of the $100,000 bonus event. Fuller had the best reaction time of the Shootout (. 031 of-a-second).

Fuller has two wins (Phoenix, Denver) in five final round appearances this season. He also has earned four poles in 2007. The Las Vegas racer has five career wins and six career poles in just his second full season in Top Fuel.

Fuller has an average starting position of 3.81 this season and has qualified in the top half of the field at 20 of 21 races this year. The Las Vegas racer has advanced to at least the semifinals at 13 of 21 races in 2007. His average starting position at The Strip at LVMS is 6.2.
