Tommy Johnson Jr: “I Think The SKOAL Racing Team is Starting to Hit Their Stride at The Right Time&#

Tommy Johnson Jr. will look to continue his momentum this weekend, as he and the SKOAL Racing team make their way to Heartland Park Topeka (Topeka, KS) for the O’Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals June 1-3.

Johnson, who secured his first elimination round win of the 2007 season in Madison, IL on May 6, returns to a track where he has enjoyed success in the past. His best performance came back in 2005, when he went toe-to-toe with the legendary John Force before losing to Force in the finals.

“I think the SKOAL Racing team is starting to hit their stride at the right time”, said Johnson Jr. “This upcoming stretch is key for us as we race eight out of the next nine weekends. Getting off to a great start in Topeka is vital to us in our attempt to climb back to the top of the point standings. ”

Johnson currently sits 11th in the POWERade Championship Point Standings, after having climbed seven positions after his first round win in Madison, IL.
