Bridgestone Motorsport s GP2 Series Report

Lapierre s win was taken by three seconds from Glock with Filippi taking third position. Filippi tops the points standings with 32 points over Glock on 28. The GP2 Series second round takes place at Barcelona over the weekend of 11-13 May.

Hirohide Hamashima, Director of Bridgestone Motorsport Tyre Development said:

“Today the wind had a greater affect on the handling of the cars than the Bridgestone Potenza tyres than yesterday. There was a little oversteer tendency during the races but this was controlled by the drivers. Many drivers complained that the wind was so strong today that the cars felt completely different at different parts of the circuit. The wear and appearance of the tyres was good in both races confirming that our medium compound tyre choice was correct. The GP2 Series has come back to the Bahrain International Circuit, now with slick Bridgestone Potenzas, and has put on a good show for the people of Bahrain. ”
