Dani Clos On F3: “I will have all the weapons to fight for the first positions”
Feb 13, 2008
Barcelona, 12th February 2008. The 19 year old Spanish driver Dani Clos is joining the Italian team Prema Powerteam in the 2008 F3 Euro Series. This will be his second season competing in this championship.
The 2006 Formula Renault Italian Champion is the final addition to Prema three car line-up, all of them being Dallara 308–Mercedes. Clos will be joining the Dutch driver Renger Van Der Zande, who has been a Pream driver since 2007, and the American Charlie Kimball from the World Series by Renault 3.5.
Last December, Dani Clos was invited to test with the Prema Team in the Misano Circuit in Italy, where his impressive driving achieved really good lap-times comparing of his new team-mate Renger van der Zande.
Angelo Rosin Team Principal, “I have admired Dani Clos since 2006, when we were rivals in the Italian and European F Renault Cups. Then I had the chance to see him in action at last years F3 Euro Series, but unfortunately for Dani, things didn’t go his way. I think that Clos is extremely talented and I have to say, I am certainly relieved to have him as a team-mate instead of a rival. I can’t wait to start working with him – he just has that look in his eye, he’s willing to fight as hard as it takes to win, just what the Prema team wants. We believe that a good mix of motivation, strong will, and a touch of
that killer instinct is exactly what is needed to win races. That’s exactly what Prema is after this season.”
Dani Clos: “I am very proud of having this opportunity to join Prema Powerteam. This will be my second season at the F3 Euro Series and I am sure that this year I will have all the weapons to fight for the firsts positions.”
