Two months have almost gone by since the last meeting of the F. Renault 2.0 Eurocup Championship in Hungary. The forthcoming events of the championship’s calendar will be the final rush of the series with four events within 50 days. The first of this series of events will start on the weekend of September 9, on the English circuit of Donington. Prema will be present with its drivers from the Toyota Drivers Development, Andrea Caldarelli, Martin Plowman and Henki Waldschmidt. Recovery is what characterised the Vicenza based Team, and after a few negative meetings the young Dutch driver Waldschmidt is ready to attempt a retrieval in the general classification which has him in fifth position, 26 points from the leader Brendon Hartley. Caldarelli and Plowman are also expected to demonstrate their value, particularly Plowman who will be racing at home and will benefit from all the spectators support.
Angelo Rosin Team Principal:
“After a difficult first part of the season, in which we were present in both the European and Italian Championship, our drivers have had the required time to recharge their batteries. We expect this recovery from Donington and I am convinced that we have all the necessary elements in order to confirm our potential at these upcoming four events. The Championship is still very open. “
