The two-day GP2 Series test at Paul Ricard was finally over today. Trident Racing enjoyed two very productive sessions on the French Track: once again, all the scheduled word was completed flawlessly, as the technical staff was able to collect all the expected data. Kohei Hirate and Pastor Maldonado also successfully tested the new brakes (to be introduced starting from the next championship round), ending up their day on fresh tires and with a specific set-up. The team and the drivers will now make their return on home soil, before coming back to France for the next series round at Magny-Cours, taking place between June 29 and July 1.

Our staff analyzed several set-up solutions, and completed aero balancing tests targeted to the next GP2 rounds. All the technical staff, as well as Pastor and Kohei, deserve a big thanks. Maldonado confirmed once again his highly professional nature, while Hirate continued to improve, showing a great physical form and a growing feeling with the car, that allowed him to make better technical analysis. I hope all the potential shown will enable us to attempt a perfect second half of the season”.
