Once again Trident Racing`s qualifications were under expectations for both drivers, who paid an high duty of inexperience at Silverstone. Pastor Maldonado and Kohei Hirate will start respectively from the 14th and 20th place on tomorrow`s grid: both the Venezuelan and the Japanese are at their first visit to the circuit, and will have to recover by trusting in a confidence that is expected to grow lap-by-lap. The main forecast services are indicating extremely variable conditions for tomorrow: rain would be an opportunity (but also a potential danger), needing to be managed and evaluated in the best possible way.

“My day started well, with the 10th best time in this morning`s practice. Unfortunately we weren`t able to confirm our performance level in qualifying. I can`t be satisfied even though it`s my first experience here. I didn`t experience any handling problem, but the laptimes were just disappointing… “
Kohei Hirate 20. (1`29”899, 14 laps)
“I had the same impression of my team-mate: the car doesn`t give any bad feeling, there`s no oversteer or understeer, it`s good. The laps are just not fast enough to clinch the top spots. I was really impressed by the track, and especially by the “Complex”, a very technical and tough sequence”
