The GP2 Series is finally set to get back underway this weekend at Monza. Starting from tomorrow, Trident Racing will face a home challenge in the ninth round of the 2007 season: all team members are ready to put together a great performance, pushed by the friendly environment. The team confirmed the driver line-up seen at Istanbul; Ricardo Risatti will partner Kohei Hirate for the second straight race, since Pastor Maldonado is still on his way to recover from the collarbone fracture occurred while bike training. The effort needed will be strong due to the extremely fast track configuration, producing the highest average speeds in the whole championship. Teams and drivers will be forced to find the best possible setup in the the first 30 minutes, to keep the pace in qualifying and earn a strong starting position for Race 1.
The single practice session will be held tomorrow morning, from 12:00 to 12:30, followed at 16:00 by qualifications. 32-lap long Race 1 will be starting at the same time on Saturday, while shorter Sunday Race (21 laps) is set to take place on Sunday at noon. All race activities will be televised live in Italy by Sky Sport, while satellite channel Eurosport will cover the two races around Europe. Italy`s national television will also broadcast Race 2 live.
