Junior Formula: Team Prema Moves From North Sea's Dunes Of Zandvoort To The Belgian Region Of Limburg Prema Power Team

Zolder as an objective, Prema moved from the North Sea’s dunes of Zandvoort (Holland) to the Belgian region of Limburg. During this in between events period, the Team stayed in Northern Europe. Coming back from the Dutch event of the F. 3 Euro Series, Prema will be the only Italian Team to participate in the prestigious F. 3 Masters with it’s drivers Michael Patrizi and Renger van der Zande. For the first time, this international meeting will be held at Zolder instead of Zandvoort as a result of the issues between the Dutch circuit and the local authorities regarding environmental matters. The Masters is one of the most significant F. 3 races, only second to the Macao event.

At Zolder, which is new for most Teams and drivers and where the free practice session will be essential, the drivers from the European series will be joined by those taking part in the British F3 Championship. Amongst the previous winn ers of this exclusive race, many have also raced in the F1 World Championship, such as: David Coulthard, Pedro Lamy, Jos Verstappen, Norberto Fontana, Takuma Sato, Christian Klien and Lewis Hamilton.

The qualifying system has been revised in an Indianapolis 500 miles style. Considering the high number of participants, the first 20 drivers of both qualifying sessions divided in odd and even numbers, will benefit from an extra session which will determine the pole and the first ten rows on the grid.

Angelo Rosin – Team Principal

“We head to Zolder concentrated, motivated and curious about this interesting confrontation with the British F3 Championship contestants. This will definitely be a challenging weekend, where the free practice will be decisive, but we are confident about our potential. The positive result of the previous races obtained by both Renger van der Zande and Michael Patrizi reassured us about our competitiveness. We are convinced that we are pr epared for this important meeting and our objective is to be among the main protagonists. “
