Katejun Coonishish (No. 101 DooTalk.com/Ski-Doo) finished his sweep of the weekend, winning the Semi-Pro Open final. Coonishish also won yesterday’s Semi-Pro Stock final. Cory Davis (No. 160 Speedwerx/Arctic Cat), who finished second in the Semi-Pro Open final, clinched the overall title by a single point. Brett Bender (No. 19 Pirtek/Polaris), who came into the weekend leading the points, finished second in the title chase. Brett Turcotte (No. 196 Blair Morgan Racing/Ski-Doo) was third in points.
Going into the race, I didn’t really know where I needed to finish in the race to get the Championship, said Davis. I knew that I needed to be up there, though. I saw that I had to get past him from the pit boards, so I just gave it everything I had in that last corner and it paid off. “
