Manufacturer Support Boosts WPS 12 Hour Race

Colin Osborne will enter a pair of Toyota Celicas with the CAMS President pairing with former Australian Rally Champion Neal Bates and John Roecken in the lead entry.

Holden Motorsport will enter a pair of Astras, a VXR coupe, to be driven by four V8 stars who will be officially announced later in the week, and a diesel CDTi turbo which is expected to be driven by an all-female line up.

The flagship for the Ford Motor Company in the 12-Hour race will be the Robinson Racing Ford F6 Typhoon and Darrell Dixon led Falcon TE 50.

The Alfa Romeo 159 2.4 JTD entered by Thompson Alfa Romeo will highlight the ever changing world of endurance racing across the globe as Kean Booker, Rocco Rinaldo and David Stone line up in the Eco Diesel Over 3.5 litre class.

In total there will be 11 different manufacturers represented from the 35-car grid making it a true showroom showdown.

The 2007 WPS Bathurst International Motor Festival kicks off next Friday (April 6) with a capacity field of 55 Historic Touring Cars, 43 Aussie Racing Cars – which provided some scintillating racing at last year’s Festival, 31 Commodore Cup Cars and 26 GT Championship cars action throughout Friday and Saturday.
