Dan Clarke Up To Speed After Two Champ Car Race Weekends



Speedy Dan Clarke, the 23-year-old British driver campaigning his second season of the Champ Car World Series had his first laps of the new Champ Car less than two weeks ago, with his second race in Long Beach, California, driving for Minardi Team USA, producing a 12th place finish.

The Grand Prix of Long Beach has always been a favourite event on the Champ Car calendar, attracting the rich and famous, young and beautiful to cheer on their favourite drivers at this glamorous street race event. For Clarke his eyes were firmly on his Champ Car, taking every opportunity to further acquaint himself with the handling characteristics of his high-powered racing machine.

The pre-race sessions gave the Yorkshire-born racer more challenges with various issues frustrating him and hampering his progress, but he kept his patience and remained focused on the task ahead with the 78 lap Long Beach Grand Prix.
