Nigel Mansell’s sons Leo and Greg have both been signed up to race in next year’s Champ Car Atlantic Series.
The duo, 22 and 20 respectively, raced in the 2007 British F3 International series for the Fortec team - with Greg finishing seven places above his brother in the championship in 10th place.
“It’s an incredible opportunity for the two lads to go racing,” said Nigel Mansell, who took the Formula One crown in 1992. UK Press.com
Greg and Leo Mansell, sons of 1992 world champion Nigel, will follow in their father’s footsteps next year by racing in the United States.
After competing in British Formula 3 this season, the brothers will switch to the Champ Car Atlantic series – the feeder category to the Champ Car World Series – with the Walker Racing team.
Greg, 20, and Leo, 22, tested for Walker last month and are hoping to use the Atlantic championship as a launch pad for a Champ Car career.
